5 Podcasts Worth Checking Out.

Updated: May 14, 2021

Do you listen to podcasts? If not, I highly recommend you start.

Here are a few reasons why:

  • Learn something new

  • Listen to other's perspective on certain topics

  • You can listen while multitasking

  • Give your eyes a break from looking at a screen (we all could use a bit of that!)

There are so many genres out there. Such a crime, education, lifestyle, and more. You're sure to find at least one that interests you. The few I've been tuning in are all faith-based. Most have helped me in my walk with Christ.

Podcasts are convenient for me because I can listen while doing something else. I have the app for Spotify and Podcast One. I usually listen while I'm at work or on my way somewhere. There are platforms where you can listen by paid prescription. But there are some you can listen to for free.

There are hundreds of podcasts out there. Here are five I've enjoyed so far:

1. Becoming Something with Johnathan Pokluda

This podcast is for young adults in their 20's and 30's. But don't let the age range stop you from listening. Becoming Something has open and real conversations about being a Christian. They back up their views with the Bible. There are three speakers with different personalities. They have one goal: to help people become who God called them to be.

This has got to be the best podcast I've listened t. This is one I'm always recommending to my peeps. It's funny, thought-provoking, and convicting. They talk about everything and don't sugar-coat any of it.

  • If you're planning to try one podcast from this list I would choose this one. It can be found on Spotify, Podcast One, and other platforms.

2. The Good Life with Stevie & Sazan

The Good Life is filled with "intimate stories and powerful conversations." They talk about life- the struggles, success, family, and faith. When you listen to this fun married couple you get authenticity and humor. This podcast is also great for those who have an entrepreneurial mindset.

This was the first podcast I've ever listened to. I was hooked. It's funny, warm, encouraging, and inspiring.

  • Stevie and Sazan are sure to bring a smile to your face. It can be found on Spotify, Apple Podcast, and Podcast One.

3. Happy and Healthy with Jeanine Amapola

This podcast consists of "genuine and candid conversations" about a variety of topics. Jeanine offers advice she's learned from life, dating, faith to her listeners. It's geared to young adults but anyone can benefit from listening.

What I like about this podcast is that Jeanine doesn't shy away from tough topics. She's very open, honest, authentic. It's nice listening to issues young adult Christians face most won't talk about.

  • Happy & Healthy will have you nodding your head in agreement with real talk and humor. You can find it on Apple Podcast, Spotify, and other places.

4. Joyful Life Podcast

Joyful Life is about living healthy and improving self-image. All by focusing on God. It's geared towards women, but guys can benefit from listening too. The speaker, Cambria Joy, is open and honest about past struggles over health.

This is a podcast I would recommend for new Christians for young girls. The content is soft, light and airy- easy to take in.

  • If you're into faith-filled, easy listening talk this is the podcast for you. Find it on Spotify, Apple Podcast, and other platforms.

5. For the Girl

The title is pretty much self-explanatory to who it's directed to. In this podcast, two friends discuss "unfiltered" topics about faith and relationships. It's from the female perspective but they do bring in male guests.

I'll be honest, it took me a couple of episodes to get into this podcast. After a while, I was able to relate to most of the things they talk about. They don't only talk about relationships but a variety of topics.

  • If you're into girl talk and faith-filled conversations definitely check it out. You can also find this on Spotify and Podcast One.

So that's the list. Be sure to check some of these out. I hope you enjoy and benefit from them as I do. Please comment down below and let me know if you recommend any podcasts. I'd love to check them out!

About Me

Hey there, I'm Brisa- the creator of The Blameless Life. One of the reasons I made this blog site is because I've always looked for a certain type of faith-based blog. I couldn't find what I was looking for, so I made that blog myself. God laid it on my heart for some time and it has become a reality. I hope it will encourage you.
